Mahon, Menorca

Mahon, Menorca

From Carloforte we went to Mahon, Menorca – 18 hours at sea, taking it in turns to sleep.  I realised how hard it was to stay awake  with nothing but black to look at!  It was also quite cloudy, so no moonlight and no stars 🙁 Stunning sunset though..

Mahon is one of the largest natural harbours in the world – 5km long.  Very pretty, but I found all ports where we stayed on our trip were!  We took a walk up in to the town and it was noticeable how many English people there were compared to Sardegna.  Along the marina were plenty of restaurants and we decided on an Indian, where we had a most delicious curry!  No late night though, as we were setting sail again the next morning – going to Ibiza.
